Fairy Door Trail Competition
Ever thought it would be fun to make a fairy door?
Would you like to take part in creating
Halifax’s First Fairy Door trail this Summer?
Deadline for entries is Saturday May 5th.
Well, here’s your chance to get creative and have your door entered in our competition to win prizes including a fairy door from local crafters- Fernwood Fairy Doors along with several other prizes.
Our Farm Forest School is inviting you to create a door or fairy dwelling that will be installed in the woods here to create an enchanting trail of hidden doors and fairy drwellings. Be careful though…some of the doors aren’t meant to be opened by anyone but the fairies otherwise you’ll let the magic out!
All ages and abilities are welcome to enter
TO Enter – Simply download and print an entry form and send us a donation of $5 per door/dwelling by e transfer to ForestSchoolSally@gmail.com. All donations will go to the Farm Forest School.
You can enter as many houses or doors as you would like.
All your entries also need to be able to withstand all kinds of weather.
Fairy Door kits are available at Captain William Spry Rec Centre APRIL 21ST 10am-1pm if you need a wooden door to get started. Limited number of kits available for a donation of $15 with all proceeds going to the forest school and farm.
Bring your finished entries to one of the following events:

April 21st – 10am-1pm
Urban Farm, Rockingstone Road, opposite Beachstone Drive
Tuesday, May 1st 5.30-5.45pm and
Thursday, May 3rd noon- 12.30 / 5.30-5.45pm
Doors can also be mailed to S Trower – Fairy door competition. 317-3700 John Parr Drive, Halifax. B3K 5V4. We cannot be responsible for any damage as a result of posting and would suggest you pack your entry well padded!
ALL ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED BY SATURDAY MAY 5TH
The entries will be judged in June. Winners will be announced at the opening of the trail on Sunday July 9th
Mums, Dads, Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents, Youth,Teens and kids of all ages from 0-99 – Good Luck and remember to be as creative as you can.
