The Urban Farm Museum Society of Spryfield

We promote rural traditions in urban places through education and actual food production, bringing young and old together. We are reviving the farming heritage of Spryfield by creating a working farm museum in the heart of our community.

Everyone is welcome to join the Urban Farm and to volunteer in our programs and at our events. Anyone wanting to have a gardening plot must become a member and pay the membership fee, as well as the garden plot fee. With membership you can participate in meetings, and help organize events at the Farm. Your contribution helps maintain this heritage farm in the community of Spryfield.

The Urban Farm has some garden plots which can be rented on a yearly basis. Some of these plots are for the Come Grow With Us program. Some are for knowledgeable gardeners who want to grow food organically. Sign-up for the plots takes place in March and April. Plot holders must contribute at least five hours every month to the general upkeep of the Urban Farm. For more information on obtaining a plot, send a message to, or come to one of our regular meetings, usually held on the second Monday of each month, at 7 pm at the Capt William Spry Community Centre.
